Batman is Bruce Wayne. He debuted in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939. He was created by Bob Kane based off Superman.

Batman has appeared in multiple television shows and movies. A movie reboot, Batman: Earth One, adds Batman in the DC Cinematic Universe where he will be portrayed by Ben Affleck. Additional films include World's Finest and Justice League. A Batman: Earth One sequel will be released on July 21, 2017.
