It will be directed by Ben Affleck. It is set for release July 15, 2016. It is DC's answer to The Avengers. It is the first film to be produced by DC Studios

Development Edit

Development began in 2012 after the success of The Avengers. Nolan was hired to direct in December 2012. Affleck was cast to play Batman in November 2013, while Cavill was cast as Superman in December 2013. Additional roles will be announced soon. In November 2014, it was announced that Fillion, Gustin and Amell will reprise their roles as Green Lantern, The Flash and Green Arrow.
